<image:title>Work - Ebuyer - Big on Tech</image:title>
<image:caption>The Brief To create a series of short idents promoting Weekends on Dave, sponsored by the online electrical retailer, Ebuyer. Timing and budgets were very tight, which lead to the creation of a concept that was both simple and versatile enough to feature any product that Ebuyer might want to feature. The silly humour was created with Dave’s audience in mind and resulted in a very successful campaign. After running for a whole year, the idents went on to receive a gold award in Fresh’s ‘TV or Cinema Campaign’ category.</image:caption>

<image:caption>The Brief To create a microsite to promote Fox’s range of Christmas biscuits. Vinnie’s Emporium was produced – an online shop hosted by Fox’s long-running ‘biscwit’ loving mascot, Vinnie the gangster panda! The site featured a fun gift picker tool to help you to find the perfect presents for your nearest and dearest. Vinnie merch, humorous money-can’t-buy items (which alluded to Vinnie’s shady business practices) and of course Fox’s biscuits were all outcomes from the gift picker.</image:caption>

The brochure was to include useful information about agency life including an introduction to the head people, a layout plan of the large office space and details about what to do and where to eat in the local area. I illustrated the brochure with a cut-out, pop-up style which went on to become part of the agencies internal look.</image:caption>

A concept was created to promote the theme of ‘taking the active option’. <image:caption>The Brief To create a campaign to announce that the the Fresh creative awards were taking a new approach by re-evaluating themselves in order to create a more concise and relevant awards ceremony. Collaboratively, a concept was created to show that Fresh was smashing up the system and wiping the slate clean. Without the budget of a shoot or 3-D rendering, I created a highly-detailed piece of key art in Photoshop. I also produced email templates, social media assets and an intriguing baseball bat mailer concept.</image:caption>

<image:title>Work - Open Door - Property Auctions</image:title>
<image:caption>The Brief To update Open Door’s brand by creating an over-arching concept, guidelines and a suite of other collateral. Open Door is an estate agents who sell it’s customers homes though modern auctions. It was important to get across that these were quality, liveable homes rather than the fixer-uppers you’d usually expect from auctions. A concept, using something synonymous with good living and quality home-life was devised in the form of the humble garden gnome. Gnomes were created in a variety of poses to highlight the brand’s different USPs such as speedy service and security.</image:caption>

<image:caption>The Brief Multiple on-going projects for furniture retailer, Fabb Sofas. Fabb’s aim was to challenge the typical big sofa companies by providing quality designer sofas at non-designer prices by cutting out the third-party manufacturers. To get their USP across a quirky style was created combining bold and fun imagery with a bright and flexible colour palette. Since 2016 I’ve produced concepts and scripts for TV and radio ads, press ads, in-store point of sale, Facebook ads and web graphics for multiple Fabb campaigns.</image:caption>

<image:title>Work - Chester Zoo - Epic Preadators</image:title>
<image:caption>The Brief To promote Chester Zoo’s new Predators exhibition through a suite of collateral including print, web and outdoor advertising. The exhibition featured exciting life-sized animatronics models of prehistoric beasts and therefore required a fun and exciting design that appealed to a younger audience. I created a concept which put today’s top predators up against their ‘epic’ prehistoric equivalents by making a feature of their exciting-sounding names and highlighting words such as ‘terror’, ‘mega’, and ‘titan’ within them. As well as concept creation I also wrote headlines and designed & illustrated each execution.</image:caption>

<image:caption>The Brief To create a logo and premium packaging for Bullion Chocolate’s first three 70% cocoa bars. Gold foil and antique-look textured paper were combined with hallmark iconography and classic typography to create a premium and sophisticated look.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Whisky Map of Scotland A personal project to create a map featuring every current working whisky distillery in Scotland. I was unable to find an off-the-shelf map which suited my requirements and so I decide to create my own. The map was to feature the locations of all current distilleries, the locations of major towns, cities & landmarks and be aesthetically pleasing. Several weeks were spent researching and plotting the map in order to create a real labour of love. <image:title>Work - Ride Shotgun – The creative brand strategy and content agency</image:title>
<image:caption>The brief To develop a band look and feel for new creative agency, Ride Shotgun. In 2022, Born + Raised and Cry Havoc came together to create a new agency with new offerings and so a new look and feel was needed. The brand was created with the idea of coming together in mind. The slice through the type, two-way gradients and two meeting shapes also represent Ride Shotgun working alongside its clients as well as the merging of two creative companies. A wide range of colours and contrasting typefaces were chosen to compliment Ride Shotgun’s diverse output, skills and creative flexibility. The vibrant colours and playful visuals also helped to add softness to a brand with a name which could be considered quite masculine or aggressive.</image:caption>

<image:caption>The Brief To create illustrations and brand elements for the Bunnahabhain Day of Fèis Ìle - the Islay culture and whisky festival in Scotland. I created a key illustration to ‘Celebrate the world of Bunnahabhain’ which captured the spirit of the island with a muted colour palette and key landmarks from the distillery and surrounding area. The result was an inviting design, reminiscent of a vintage travel poster. I then applied the illustration, flexibly to a whole host of festival items including posters, flyers, tasting kits, tasting note cards, apparel and dozens of social media posts and web graphics.</image:caption>

<image:title>Work - The Brief</image:title>
<image:caption>To produce a creative campaign for air travel company, Sita to promote their seamless digital travel solutions. The campaign was to be used across print and digital as well as feature at a corporate expo in Amsterdam. A campaign line of ‘Travel Transformed’ was created to accompany photograph of a range of floating people from business travellers to pool-side revellers to suggest smooth, frictionless journeys. A suite of tech-specify shots was also created to be used when promoting innovations such as facial recognition, digital boarding pass scanning and automatic bag drop offs. My involvement in the project included creative concept, art-directing the photography and designing assets.</image:caption>

<image:title>Work - The Brief</image:title>
<image:caption>To create a series of social posts to promote HSBC’s International Subsidiary Banking capabilities. A large number of social posts were required to cover off many different aspects and angles. The first job was to understand the huge amounts of content that was supplied and distil it down into a series of short and easy to understand messages. As this was quite a complex, corporate subject with nothing tangible to show, it was quickly decided that illustrations were the way forward. This discission freed us up to create a series of interesting and eye-catching posts with warmth and charm. My task was then to create a simple concept to represent each of the 17 messages and then illustrate each one whilst adhering to HSBC’s strict brand guidelines.</image:caption>
